What is FiOS?
Put simplest, FiOS is a connection from Verizon that brings in TV, Phone and Internet faster than any other.

In more detail, FiOS is a "Fiber Optic" internet connection that uses an internet protocol (IP) to give you digital TV, digital phone service and the fastest internet available in the United States.  Installations do take longer than cable, but the price is much less than cable and comparable to dish tv.


How much does FiOS Cost?
FiOS costs as little as $42.99 a month for internet.  FiOS will usually cost  less than $99 if you want every service that goes with it.  These services include the extremely high speed Internet, hundreds of channles of digital TV, DVR (same as a TiVO), Tons of HD Channels, Tons of On Demand movies, Pay Per View and ofcourse normal telephone.  There may be additional savings if you have Verizon Wireless cell phone service as well.


Who can Get FiOS?
FiOS is still getting rolled out.  If you are in a populated are of the North East United States, you have pretty good odds of being able to get FiOS.  FiOS is also being rolled out in other highly populated states.
